Dense Regular Conective Tissue
Dense regular connective tissue gets its name for how tightly packed its collagen fibers are and the fact that
the fibers are going the same direction. Dense regular provides unidirectional strength and is found in ligaments and tendons. It has great strength and resists pulling along the direction of its collagen fibers (bundles). The thick collagen fibers (bundles) run parallel to each other and the fibroblast nuclei are interspaced at random intervals.
