Eccrine Sweat Gland

Eccrine sweat glands (right)are found all over your body; however, their distribution is especially dense on the palms, the soles of your feet, and on your forehead. The sweat produced by eccrine sweat is mostly water with some salt (sodium chloride), some ureic acid, and some lactic acid. The sweat produced by eccrine sweat glands is supposed to help cool you by evaporation. Eccrine sweat glands are found deep in the reticular dermis. Eccrine sweat glands are composed of very small, tightly coiled tubes with stratified cuboidal epithelial. The ducts tend to be straight and exit directly on the skin.
