The Ulna

Video Description

Model to Rotate

Note this video is for both the radius and ulna
The page opens with a posterior view of the right ulna. Unlike all the other models, the distal end is to the left and the proximal end is to the right. The green plus gives you medial and lateral landmarks. The red plus gives you distal landmarks and the blue plus gives you anterior-proximal landmarks. The blue plus doesn't show up on the bone for some rason.

Find the landmarks below.

  • Coronoid Process - Anterior process on the proximal end of the ulna
  • Head - round structure on the distal end of the ulna.
  • Interosseous border. Ridge like border that runs along the lateral diaphysis of the ulna.
  • Olecranon Process - Posterior process found on proximal end of ulna.
  • Radial notch- notch found on the side of the coronoid process running anterior to posterior.
  • Styloid Process - Pointed process posterior to the head.
  • Trochlear notch - Notch formed between the olecranon and coronoid processes.
